Our Team

Janet Walden
President & CEO
Janet is our founding President and CEO. She has been at the helm of CCS since its inception in 1991. Commenting on her work, Janet says, "I have a passion for collaboration and partnership, and leading CCS is a great place to put this passion into productive action!" Janet's earliest vocation was social work, which led to a career in labor relations, culminating in her appointment to positions as regional director and division chief with the California Public Employment Relations Board. Janet left state government in 1991 to start CCS and is a past managing director of the California Afterschool Partnership. Janet has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach.
Maureen McEnnerney
Director, Program Services & Finance
Maureen, who has been with CCS since 1995, has coordinated workshops, conferences and meetings both professionally and as a volunteer, for over 35 years. She manages all workplace and afterschool fee-for-service offerings, from initiating contracts and service agreements to overseeing that each project meets all contractual agreements. Maureen received an Associate of Science degree with Honors from Heald Business College.
Ngoc Nguyen
As a health educator/advocate for the fight against obesity and diabetes epidemics, Ngoc believes in empowering communities to break cycles by helping individuals find their voice. Ngoc joins CCS as a Program Coordinator because of the vast opportunities to collaborate with others to yield positive change. She leads the Health Behaviors Initiative statewide with a focus on incorporating nutrition education, physical activity, and food security in afterschool programs. Prior to joining CCS, Ngoc worked at the California State University (CSU), Sacramento Student Health and Counseling Services Center and the Sacramento County Health and Human Services agency in the Health Education Unit. Ngoc has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Science: Community Health Education from CSU, Sacramento. During her spare time, she enjoys board games, reading, trying new recipes, hiking and spending quality time with her family and dog, Apollo.
Kim Settle
Program Services Administrator
Kim joined the CCS staff early in 2013 and brings with her a wide range of organizational, administrative and technical skills, all of which she puts to good use in her role as Program Services Administrator.  Kim grew up in San Diego and received her BA in Art from Mills College in Oakland.  She owned and operated a photographic services lab in San Francisco for 18 years.  After selling the lab she moved to the Sacramento area and worked as a Sales Analyst for Hewlett Packard and later as Project Administration Group Manager for a local architectural firm.  She is thrilled to be a member of the CCS team, as she is passionate about CCS programs and enjoys doing her part to support them.
Danika Brumbeloe
My Brother’s Keeper VISTA
Danika began her service as the My Brother’s Keeper AmeriCorps VISTA at CCS in January 2017. She has a BA in Fashion Merchandising from California State University, Fresno. Previously she worked for Fresno State’s Cross Cultural and Gender Center as the Student Coordinator for American Indian Programs and Services. Danika joined CCS as a VISTA because she has an interest in the non-profit sector and doing impactful work.
