Our Team
Judy Vonada
Judy Vonada served in municipal government for over 26 years. She held several leadership positions during her career in government including city clerk, appointed and elected by the voters of the city, director of information services and director of administrative services. During her last five years, before retiring from government, she served as the Assistant City Manager for the City of Irvine, California. Irvine is one of the nation's largest master planned urban communities. Judy was responsible for the operations and the labor relations for the City.
Judy was instrumental in introducing the process of interested based problem solving to the City of Irvine. It became a very successful model for developing new contracts with employee unions in the City and working with the interested citizen groups. This change allows Irvine to stay competitive in the recruitment of quality employees.
“I believe so strongly in collaboration in the workplace. It is amazing what can be accomplished when we truly take time to stop and listen to each other. As a former client of CCS and now a consultant for CCS I have seen the results first hand.”
Judy has been working with CCS since her retirement and has worked with clients in education, and both the public and the private sectors. She also has served as a trainer for the California League of Cities Continuing Education for Public Officials (CEPO). She is highly recommended for her skill as a trainer and her expertise as a neutral facilitator.
