CECHCR 2011 Health Care Summit  - May 3rd, 2011

Since 2008, CECHCR has sponsored an annual Health Care Summit, endorsed by California’s governor, which brings together experts in the field, elected officials and policy makers to share knowledge and help connect purchasing and policy agendas to further CECHCR’s goals. These summits have been successful in strengthening CECHCR and carrying its agenda forward.

The first summit focused on the general question of identifying problems and potential solutions. Subsequent summits have addressed specific topics of concern to CECHCR, including transparency, statewide risk pool, health care for children and federal health reform. CECHCR has published a white paper after each summit.

CECHCR’s fourth annual summit was held on May 3, 2011 in Sacramento and focused on three issues of interest to the public education community: health promotion, establishing a statewide education risk pool and implementation of the Affordable Care Act. See below for the agenda and to obtain materials prepared by our presenters.
