Dr. Allison Deegan, SEAC
Allison Deegan, Ed.D., is a business services manager with the Los Angeles County Office of Education, providing support on fiscal, policy and governance issues to all 93 school and community college districts in Los Angels County. She also serves as Associate Director of WriteGirl (www.WriteGirl.org), a creative writing and mentoring organization for teen girls that was recently named California Non-Profit of the Year. She has made numerous presentations around the country on topics related to public education policy and compliance, after school program success, creative writing and working with youth. She is a mentor, trainer and curriculum consultant with the California School-Age Consortium, which provides professional development to after school program staff. She holds a B.S. in Marketing from Syracuse University, a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from California State University, Long Beach, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, also from CSULB.
