Who’s Who has awarded Dr. Andi Fletcher the 2011 Professional of the Year representing the Educational Consulting Industry.

Andi is currently the Chief Afterschool Consultant for the Center for Collaborative Solutions and a nationally recognized expert, keynote speaker, author, workshop presenter and coach in afterschool program and leadership development. Andi is leading CCS’ Healthy Behaviors Initiative and is the author of Changing Lives, Saving Lives, A Step-by-Step Guide to Developing Exemplary Practices in Nutrition, Physical Activity and Food Security in Afterschool Programs. Earlier this year, Andi was also recognized at the 2011 BOOST conference with the 2011 OSTI Pioneer award for her leadership in the afterschool field.

ER Taylor Elementary Receives Gold Status for School Wellness

ER Taylor was recognized by the American Cancer Society (ACS) and CA PTA as receiving the "Gold" status as part of their School Wellness Recognition Program (SWRP). The ACS and CA PTA share the goal of motivating schools to create healthy school environments, and the SWRP is designed to recognize PTA schools that are making significant improvements in these areas. 2011 BOOST OSTI Award Honoree

Dr. Andria J. Fletcher

At the 2011 BOOST conference, Dr. Andi Fletcher was presented with the 2011 OSTI Pioneer award for her leadership in the afterschool field. Dr. Fletcher is a nationally recognized expert in afterschool program and policy development. She was the founding Director of Sacramento START in 1995, improving the quality and increasing the number of students served. In 1997, she was instrumental in launching California’s first afterschool legislation, which led to $550 million in state funding. Dr. Fletcher is a noted author and keynote speaker at numerous national, state and regional conferences, and is currently the Chief Afterschool Consultant for the Center for Collaborative Solutions. She has provided leadership and on-the-ground support for the Healthy Behaviors Initiative (HBI), authoring the Changing Lives, Saving Lives guide for programs that want to adopt the HBI Exemplary Practices. The Out-of-School Time Innovations Awards (OSTI) were created in 2007 by the BOOST Conference Leadership Team to honor out-of-school time individuals and programs that provide innovative approaches to support students, families and communities.
